This release note describes the changes of Solo builds between Istio versions 1.23.1 and 1.23.2.

General

This version was built against upstream Istio release 1.23.2.

Solo Flavor (-solo and -solo-fips)

  • Added the GeoIP filter to Envoy. For more information, see the Envoy Docs.

FIPS Flavor (-fips only)

  • Applied changes to reduce the glibc requirement of the FIPS flavor from glibc 2.31 to 2.28. This does not apply to either Solo variant (-solo and -solo-fips), which still require glibc 2.31 or above.
