Solo build of Istio version 1.22.5 patch release.

This release note describes the changes of Solo builds between Istio versions 1.22.4 and 1.22.5.

Security Notice

This build includes resolution of Istio Security Advisory 2024-006.

General

This version was built against upstream Istio release 1.22.5.

• Added the GeoIP filter to Envoy. For more information, see Envoy Docs.

FIPS Flavor

• Applied changes to reduce FIPS glibc requirement from 2.31 to 2.28. This does not apply to the -solo-fips variant, which still requires glibc 2.31 or above.
