Customize the pipeline

Set up additional pipeline receivers, processors, and exporters to add more telemetry data to the Gloo telemetry pipeline.

• Add Istio request traces: Add request traces to your Gloo telemetry pipeline to observe traffic requests in Jaeger.

• Collect compute instance metadata: Allow OTel collector agents to gather metadata about the compute instances that the workload cluster is deployed to.

• Forward metrics to Datadog: Set up an extra exporter to forward metrics to your Datadog instance.

• Forward metrics to OpenShift: Learn how to forward the metrics from the Gloo telemetry gateway and collector agents to the OpenShift Prometheus.
